Greetings!

Well...2010 has come and gone!  Will the years ever slow down?  I pray that 2011 will be a year of continued blessings to you all as you continue to seek first the Kingdom of God.

Here are some happenings here at New Life Deaf Fellowship that I am looking forward to...

SHH CHURCH... spending time in Scripture and learning truths in the Living Book....and remembering our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted around the world.  SHH CHURCH will start on Friday evening January 14th from 6 pm to Midnight.  You can check the website for more information.

KINGDOM FAMILIES CONNECTING (KFC)... this is the people of NLDF going out into our community to serve... we will begin with Heritage Square with ministry areas such as:  Bible Study Ministry & Bible Story Reading Ministry & Prayer Partner Ministry and Library/Video Ministry.  We plan to start this in March 2011. 

DEAF WORSHIP... this will be happening on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30... we will continue to have "Traditional" worship at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings... curious what Deaf Worship is?  Come and find out.... Deaf Worship will start on Sunday March 6th.

LORD'S SUPPER... we will have Lord's Supper once a month and after the Lord's Supper we will have an special offering for the New Building Fund.

D.E.C. (Deaf Evangelism Conference)... this conference will be at NLDF this year... Feb. 25-27... we are looking forward to a great conference!

MISSION TRIPS... we are going to Jamaica again this year and if you are interested meet Josh or Aric and let us know.  The total for this trip is $1,300.  Trip dates are: June 11-18... we will have Team Meetings later in the spring.... team is limited to 20 people.

I will be joining with Mark Sauter and several brothers from China on a trip to Bangladesh in February...I am excited about this opportunity to bring Christ to this country.  I will also have another mission trip in the Fall going to Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam... New Life Deaf Fellowship has completed our 5 year commitment to reaching Slovakia and we are praying & searching the Lord as to which country to "adopt" for the next 5 years. 

ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL... this year we will be doing this a bit differently.  We will have a WEEKEND FALL FESTIVAL.  We will have a big top tent set up.  Friday night we will have a worship gathering.  Saturday all day will be the annual Fall Festival.  Sunday morning we will worship under the big top again.  We are planning to have a guest speaker and guest music leader.  Looking forward to this fun weekend under the big top!

CHRISTMAS DRAMA... yes we will have one this year!  We will be doing 3 shows this year (Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning).  Our dates for the drama are Dec. 9-11 (dates could possibly change...check the website).  We will be selling tickets for this year's drama...proceeds will go towards drama costs and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

Well...well...I am sure with all these events happening 2011 is going to be a quick year too.
