Greetings from still hot hot hot Texas!
Summer is almost over and Fall is quickly approaching. Students are back in school. Teachers are back to work. Vacations are over. Routines are back. The great news is Jesus is still with us! He never left us. The problem tends to be us leaving Jesus.
THINK SAME JESUS
I've been preaching on a series "THINK SAME JESUS" from Philippians 2:5 and talking about our need for a biblical worldview in our lives. What is a worldview? It is the product of...all information, ideas and experiences you absorb to form the values, morals and beliefs that you have. Our struggle as believers (followers of the person Jesus Christ) is that our worldview is in conflict with the biblical worldview. To "THINK SAME JESUS" is to remove our worldview and take on the biblical worldview. Here are 7 questions that we all need to ask ourselves which gives us a foundation for having a biblical worldview:
1. Does God exist?
2. What is the character and nature of God?
3. How and why was the world created?
4. What is the nature and purpose of humanity?
5. What happens after we die on earth?
6. What spiritual authorities exist?
7. What is truth?
The main purpose of these questions is to privide us with a clear, comphrehensive, and unified understanding of all reality that will enable us to live like genuine Christians!
We will together go through the Word of God for answers to these questions. Scripture teaches us that we need to "seek first the kingdom of God!"
September 12 to October 31
We have just announced that we are entering a new building project here at New Life Deaf Fellowship. This project is called: New Life Deaf Fellowship TOGETHER We Build God's House. This project focuses on various aspects of ministry...mainly that we continue to focus our time and energy and resources on reaching DFW for Jesus Christ. The new building is just a tool for our ministry not the "magnet" of drawing people to Jesus. Buildings don't lead people to Jesus...Buildings don't lead people to heaven...Buildings don't give eternal life. It's just merely a place for God's people to meet and worship together. DFW is the 5th largest Deaf population in the United States! We have a large field here.
During this time we will focus on Stewardship... mananging our Time, our Talents and our Finances for the Lord.
September 26
On this day we will focus on mission work around the world. This will be the day we will give towards the REACH TEXAS FUND. This fund supports mission work in Texas. This fund also helps support Deaf Church planting work, the Deaf Evangelism Conference. We will also talk about the LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING. We will watch a video from the IMB focusing on Deaf work in the world. You will not want to miss this video!

Prayer Points can be picked up at the Welcome Booth at NLDF. Prayer Points is a daily prayer guide...praying for Deaf people all over the world. Somewhere...Someplace...750 Deaf die every day! The majority of the Deaf live without the knowledge of Jesus...and die without Jesus. Join with us as we become connected!
